Ascendo Resources is parnering with a fantastic law firm client on their search for a Business Development Coordinator.
Position verview
A full-time, nonexempt administrative role is open for a Business Development Coordinator, reporting directly to the department's senior leadership. This individual will support the business development and marketing efforts of assigned practice and industry teams, with the option to be based in either a Raleigh or Charlotte office.
This role focuses on high-quality support in business development functions. The standard workweek consists of 37.5 hours (7.5 hours per day), with occasional overtime. There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
The ideal candidate will bring strong initiative, exceptional attention to detail, polished communication, and a proactive, professional mindset, along with a strong commitment to internal client service.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the execution of strategies to support current and potential client engagement.

Create and format proposals, pitch decks, RFP responses, and client presentation materials under leadership guidance.

Collaborate on planning and delivering client-facing and internal events, including webinars, receptions, and networking functions.

Support the creation of submissions for rankings and directory listings (e.g., industry guides and award listings).

Help manage the process of collecting and updating experience-related data.

Contribute to the internal distribution of team updates, newsletters, and content.

Coordinate dissemination of client updates and firm-produced thought leadership.

Track the outcomes of pitches, proposals, and other development initiatives.

Draft, review, and finalize a variety of written marketing and business materials.

Manage department expenses, reimbursements, and request submissions.

Maintain a shared calendar for team activities and events.

Provide additional support as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or a similar function in a professional services or legal setting.

Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, with the flexibility to meet deadlines and occasionally work extended hours.

Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Highly motivated and service-focused, with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail is essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn additional platforms as needed.
